FISHER LEADS SHEPHERD PAST ALDERSON-BROADDUS

PHILIPPI, WV -- LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Shepherd College to a 74-64 win over Alderson-Broaddus in WVIAC women's basketball action at Alderson-Broaddus on Monday night.

Fisher connected on 7-of-8 shots from the floor and was a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line.

Shepherd shot 50 percent (13-26) from the floor and 100 percent from the charity stripe (13-13) in the first half to take a 41-28 advantage at the break.

Ashley van Norden (Hagerstown, MD/Williamsport, MD) added 15 points, four assists, and two steals, while Cassie Murray (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) registered 11 points, eight boards, four assists, and four steals. Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS) added 10 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Ashley Rapp had 14 points and Mallory Grogg added 10 to lead the Battlers.

Shepherd improves to 10-6, 6-2 in conference play. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to WVU-Tech for a 5:15 p.m. conference matchup.
