Michael Walker rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Shepherd's 26-9 win over Virginia Union.

(SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV) -- Michael Walker (Lorton, VA/Hayfield) rushed for 24 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns to lead Shepherd College to a 26-9 win over Virginia Union in football action at Ram Stadium.

Senior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro, VA/Waynesboro) completed 10-of-22 passes for 180 yards. Senior wide receiver Ron Dawkins (Arlington, VA/Washington & Lee) led the Ram receiving corps with three receptions for 68 yards.

Junior cornerback Freddy Del Villar (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley) and junior outside linebacker Dan Winning (Culpeper, VA/Culpeper) led the Ram defense with nine tackles each. Del Villar also had two interceptions and three passes defended. Shepherd limited the Panthers to a paltry 12 passing yards and only 147 yards of total offense.
