SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd College earned a 30-8, 30-5, 30-14 sweep over WVU-Tech in WVIAC volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Wednesday night.
Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD) led Shepherd with 13 kills and 14 digs. Amber Balmer (Ephrata/Ephrata, PA) added eight kills, 16 digs, and seven aces, while Kim Pirisino (John Carroll/Edgewood, MD) posted 11 kills and eight digs. Setter Nicole Morgan (North Hagerstown/Maugansville, MD) recorded 41 assists and four aces.
Shepherd improves its overall record to 16-8, 5-4 in conference action.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Virginia State for a 7:00 p.m. match.
