SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO WEST VIRGINIA STATE

INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- Shepherd University dropped a 3-0 (17-30, 17-30, 24-30) decision to West Virginia State in WVIAC volleyball action at West Virginia State on Saturday.

Sophomore Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/Chancellor) led the Rams with 12 kills. Senior Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) added 15 digs, while junior Kiira Cerasi (Santa Barbara, CA/Bishop Diego Garcia) chipped in with 12. Freshman Jane Thompson (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) recorded 16 assists.

Leah Wilson had 10 kills and Dava Kalteneckjer recorded 18 digs to lead West Virginia State.

Shepherd falls to 4-13, 3-3 in WVIAC play, while West Virginia State improves to 13-4, 8-0. The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Charleston for a 7:00 p.m. match.
