SHEPHERD IMPROVES TO 2-0 IN CONFERENCE PLAY

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --Shepherd College handed West Liberty a 3-0 (30-25, 30-17, 30-22) loss in WVIAC volleyball action on Tuesday night at the Butcher Athletic Center. Shepherd improves to 2-0 in conference action.

The Rams were led by Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) with 11 kills and 21 digs. She also added four service aces. Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood) added nine kills and 13 digs, while Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) recorded six kills and 11 digs. Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) contributed 47 assists and 12 digs. Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley) had a team best eight blocks to go along with eight kills.

Shepherd improves to 4-5 overall, while West Liberty falls to 1-3, 0-1.

The Rams return to action on September 16 when they travel to Salem International for a 7:00 p.m. match.
