The Shepherd Rams regrouped for a 3-2 win over West Liberty.
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd College won its eighth straight match with an exciting 28-30, 30-28, 30-17, 23-30, 22-20 win over West Liberty in WVIAC volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center.
Kim Pirisino(John Carroll/Edgewood, MD) led the Rams with 22 kills, 21 digs, and six blocks. Amber Balmer (Ephrata/Ephrata, PA) added 18 kills and 24 digs, while Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD) had 18 kills, 11 digs, and seven aces. Shannon Shenberger (Warwick/Lititz, PA) recorded seven blocks andValerie Chaney (Frankfort/Ft. Ashby, WV) chipped in 10 kills and six blocks.
Shepherd improves to 8-1, 2-0 in WVIAC play, while West Liberty falls to 5-9, 3-2.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to the Mount Olive Tournament.
