SHEPHERD GOES 1-1 AT CHARLESTON

CHARLESTON, WV -- Shepherd went 1-1 in final round action of the University of Charleston Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Shepherd handed Belmont Abbey a 3-0 (30-22, 30-18, 30-15) defeat, while Gannon defeated the Rams by a 3-1 (230-23, 30-16, 28-30, 30-27) score.

Senior middle hitter Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) recorded 12 kills and four blocks to lead the Rams. Freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area Senior HS) added 10 kills, five digs, and five blocks, while senior outside hitter Megan Bowman (Hagerstown, MD/ Williamsport HS) had six kills and a team-high 18 digs.

Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) had 14 kills and 13 digs against Gannon. Sophomore defensive specialist Lindsay Smith (Romney, WV/Hampshire HS) added a team-high 18 digs.

Shepherd moves to 3-9. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host Salem International for a 7:00 p.m. conference match.
