SHEPHERD SWEEPS TECH

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. -- Shepherd College swept WVU-Tech with a 30-10, 30-18, 30-11 win in first round action of the WVIAC Volleyball Tournament action in Summersville on Thursday.

Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) recorded 16 kills and eight digs to pace the Rams. Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA./James Wood HS) added 10 kills and eight digs. Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) registered 43 assists and five aces, while Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) contributed 11 digs and three aces.

Shepherd improves to 18-13. The Rams advance to face Alderson-Broaddus on Friday.
