RAMS SPLIT VOLLEYBALL ACTION

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Shepherd University split a pair of matches in volleyball action at Shippensburg University on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 3-0 (30-15, 30-20, 30-27) decision to Shippensburg before downing Cheyney, 3-0 (30-4, 30-5, 30-16).

Freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area Senior HS) had seven kills to pace the Rams against Shippensburg. Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) added a team-high 23 digs.

Sophomore middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) led the Rams against Cheyney with seven kills, four digs and two aces. Senior setter Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) contributed 31 assists, eight aces, and a pair of digs.

Shepherd moves to 21-15 on the season. The Rams return to action on Thursday at the WVIAC Tournament in Summersville.
