SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL RECORDS THIRD STRAIGHT WIN SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University downed Salem International, 3-0, in volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Rams earned a 30-25, 30-23, 30-20 victory. Sophomore Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/Chancellor) and freshman Emily McCoy (Great Cacapon, WV/Berkeley Springs) each recorded seven kills to lead the Rams. Freshman Ashlee Allen (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) had five kills, nine digs, and three aces, while sophomore Emma Bullock (Ellicott City, MD/Glenelg) added five kills and nine digs. Shepherd improves to 7-14, 5-4 WVIAC, while Salem International falls to 10-14, 6-6. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan for a 7:00 p.m. match. |
