SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University defeated Salem International University 3-0 (30-19, 30-22, 30-22) in WVIAC volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Thursday night.

Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) led the Rams with team-highs of 14 kills and 17 digs. Freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area Senior HS) added 11 kills and junior middle hitter Aubrey Pfau (Myerstown, MD/Middletown HS) had 10. Senior outside hitter Megan Bowman (Hagerstown, MD/Williamsport HS) recorded 12 digs, while sophomore outside hitter Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) contributed 10. Senior setter Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) recorded 49 assists, eight digs, and four aces.

Shepherd improves to 4-9 on the year, 1-0 in conference play, while Salem International falls to 2-7, 1-2. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to face Concord University and Bluefield State College at Concord.
