SHEPHERD FINISHES 2-2 IN RAM RUMBLE

Shepherd talks things over against Mercyhurst.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --The Shepherd College volleyball team finished with a 2-2 mark after splitting a pair of matches in final day action of the Ram Rumble in volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center.

Shepherd handed North Carolina Central a 30-27, 30-10, 23-30, 30-25 loss in its opening match.

The Rams were led by Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) with 15 kills and 20 digs. Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) added nine kills and 15 digs, while Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) recorded 47 assists and 12 digs.

Mercyhurst handed Shepherd a 30-18, 30-26, 30-18 setback in the second match.

Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/ James Wood HS) had 12 kills and eight digs for the Rams and Gen Wilson (Hyattsville, MD/Elizabeth Seton HS) and Morgan each added 11 digs apiece.

Shepherd returns to action on Friday when they travel to the University of Charleston Tournament.
