SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. -- Shepherd College defeated Ohio Valley, 30-13, 30-16, 30-23 in WVIAC Volleyball Tournament action at Summersville.
The Rams got 14 kills from Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD) and 12 from Kim Pirisino (John Carroll/Edgewood, MD) in the first round win over the Lady Scots. Danielle Munson (Williamsport/Williamsport, MD) added seven kills and five aces, while Beth Schaible (James Wood/Winchester, VA) recorded four blocks.
Shepherd improves its record to 28-9, while Ohio Valley drops to 2-33.The Rams return to action against West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday at noon in second round tournament action.
