SHEPHERD SWEEPS OHIO VALLEY SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --Shepherd University swept Ohio Valley, 3-0 (30-20, 30-12, 30-28), in WVIAC volleyball action on Saturday at the Butcher Athletic Center. Sophomore middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) had eight kills to lead the Rams. Senior middle hitter Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) added seven kills, while sophomore defensive specialist Lindsey Smith (Romney, WV/Hampshire HS) posted team-highs of 14 digs and five aces. Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) chipped in with 11 digs. Shepherd improves to 17-14 overall, 13-4 in WVIAC action. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Salem International for a 7:00 p.m. contest. |
