MOUNT OLIVE, NC -- The Shepherd College volleyball team won its ninth straight match to improve to 9-1 with a 31-29, 27-30, 30-20, 30-25 over host Mount Olive in the Mount Olive Tournament.
Junior outside hitter Kim Pirisino (John Carroll/Edgewood, MD) recorded 18 kills and 19 digs to lead the Rams. Junior outside hitter Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD) added 16 kills and 16 digs, while junior outside hitter Amber Balmer (Ephrata/Ephrata, PA) had 15 kills and 18 digs. Freshman setter Nicole Morgan (North Hagerstown/Maugansville, MD) registered 49 assists.
