SHEPHERD EDGES MILLERSVILLE IN VOLLEYBALL ACTION

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University rallied for a 3-2 (30-27, 28-30, 25-30, 30-26, 15-8) win over Millersville University for its first win of the year in volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Sunday. The victory snapped a six-match losing streak for the Rams.

Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) led the Rams with 20 kills and 28 digs. Freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/ Chambersburg Area Senior HS) added 17 kills and 23 digs, while senior setter Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) registered 66 assists, 19 digs, and three aces. Senior middle hitter Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) added 15 kills and 11 blocks and sophomore outside hitter Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) tallied 20 digs.

Shepherd improves to 1-6 on the year. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Bowie State for a 7:00 p.m. match.
