SHEPHERD DROP PAIR IN SECOND DAY ACTION AT ASHLAND

ASHLAND, OH -- Shepherd dropped a pair of matches in final round action at the Ashland University Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Lock Haven handed the Rams a 3-0 (15-30, 20-30, 17-30) defeat, while host Ashland also downed the Rams by a 3-0 (14-30, 19-30, 16-30) score.

Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) recorded six kills and 14 digs to lead the Rams against Lock Haven. Sophomore defensive specialist Lindsay Smith (Romney, WV/Hampshire HS) added 11 digs.

Sophomore middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) recorded a team-best five kills against Ashland. Junior outside hitter Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood HS), junior middle hitter Aubrey Pfau (Myersville, MD/Middletown HS), and freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area Senior HS) each added four kills. Hill led the Rams with 12 digs.

Shepherd falls to 0-4. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host the 7th Annual Ram Rumble.
