SHEPHERD DROPS PAIR AT LEWIS TOURNAMENT ROMEOVILLE, IL -- The Shepherd University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at the Lewis University Tournament on Saturday. Rockhurst (7-0) handed Shepherd a 3-0 (30-12, 30-13, 30-8) setback and host Lewis (6-3) also recorded a 3-0 (30-18, 30-25, 30-20) win. Freshman outside hitter Ashlee Allen (Severna Park, MD/ Severna Park) and sophomore middle hitter Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/Chancellor) each had five kills against Rockhurst. Freshman setter Maggie Hayden (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) recorded 28 assists. Junior outside hitter Kiira Cerasi (Santa Barbara, CA/Bishop Diego Garcia) registered 14 kills and 13 digs to lead Shepherd against Lewis. Senior libero Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) added 15 digs. Shepherd falls to 0-8 on the year. |
