SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL DOWNS GLENVILLE STATE IN FOUR GAMES SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University downed Glenville State College, 3-1, in WVIAC volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Saturday. The Rams took a 30-24, 30-32, 30-23, 30-25 win. Freshman Ashlee Allen (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) had 16 kills and seven digs to lead the Rams. Junior Kiira Cerasi (Santa Barbara, CA/Bishop Diego Garcia) added 12 kills and 15 digs, while senior Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) added a team-high 17 digs. Freshman Jane Thompson (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) recorded 26 assists, while freshman Maggie Hayden (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) added 24. Shepherd improves to 5-14, 4-4 in WVIAC play, while Glenville State falls to 3-12, 3-4. The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Pitt Johnstown for a 7:00 p.m. match. |
