SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL DOWNS FAIRMONT STATE, 3-0 FAIRMONT, W.Va -- Junior Kiira Cerasi (Santa Barbara, CA/Bishop Diego Garcia) recorded a double-double with 17 kills and 13 digs to lead Shepherd University to a 3-0 (30-28, 30-20, 30-27) win over Fairmont State University in WVIAC volleyball action at Fairmont on Thursday night. Senior Laura Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) added 10 kills, while freshman Emily McCoy (Great Cacapon, WV/Berkeley Springs) had nine kills and three blocks. Shepherd improves to 4-12, 3-2 in conference play, while Fairmont State drops to 0-11, 0-4. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to West Virgiinia State for a 1:00 p.m. contest. |
