SHEPHERD EDGES FAIRMONT SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd College edged Fairmont State College with a 29-31, 30-25, 30-25, 21-30, 15-9 21-30, 21-30, 14-30 win in WVIAC volleyball action at Shepherd on Friday night. The Rams were led by Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) with team-highs of 15 kills and 29 digs. Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood HS) added 10 kills,15 digs, and four aces, while Megan Bowman (Hagerstown, MD/Williamsport HS) had 10 kills and 14 digs. Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) recorded 12 kills, eight digs, and five blocks. Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) chipped in with 53 assists, 12 digs, and four aces. Shepherd improves to 13-8 overall, 10-3 in conference play. |
