SHEPHERD WINS BATTLE OVER FAIRMONT FAIRMONT, W.Va. --Shepherd College battled to a 3-2 win over Fairmont State in WVIAC volleyball action at Fairmont on Saturday. The Rams earned a 28-30, 31-29, 30-27, 26-30, 15-6 victory. The Rams were led by Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) with 19 kills and 21 digs. Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood) added nine kills and 16 digs, while Megan Bowman (Hagerstown, MD/ Williamsport HS) recorded nine kills and a 15 digs in her first action of the season. Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) contributed 54 assists and 14 digs. Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley) had nine kills and nine digs, while Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) added seven kills. Viviana Luna had 23 kills and 26 digs to pace Fairmont State. Shepherd improves to 6-5 overall, 4-0 in conference action. |
