SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd College defeated Fairmont State, 30-20, 30-25, 30-26, in WVIAC volleyball action on Thursday night at the Butcher Athletic Center.
The Rams were led by the stellar all-around play of seniors Amber Balmer (Ephrata/Ephrata, PA), Kim Pirisino (John Carroll/Edgewood, MD), and Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD).
Shepherd improves to 9-5 overall, 2-0 in conference play.
The Rams will return to action on Saturday when they travel to WVU-Tech for a 11:00 a.m. contest.
