SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL DOWNS DAVIS AND ELKINS IN CONFERENCE OPENER SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University earned a 3-2 (30-27, 28-30, 30-28, 26-30, 15-8) win over Davis & Elkins in WVIAC volleyball action at Shepherd on Wednesday night. Sophomore middle hitter Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/Chancellor) led the Rams with 14 kills. Freshman outside hitter Ashlee Allen (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) led the Rams with 16 digs, while senior libero Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) added 14 digs. Allen had six aces in the fifth and deciding fifth game. Shepherd improves to 2-10, 1-0 in WVIAC play, while Davis & Elkins falls to 2-10, 1-3. The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 7:00 p.m. match. |
