SHEPHERD DOWNS DAVIS & ELKINS ELKINS, W.Va. -- Shepherd University downed Davis & Elkins in four games in WVIAC volleyball action in Elkins on Saturday. The Rams earned a 22-30, 30-20, 30-23, 30-17 victory. Junior outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs to pace the Rams. Junior middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) had a team-high 12 kills, while senior outside hitter Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood HS) had 11 kills. Freshman Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/ Chancellor HS) added six blocks and six kills. Shepherd improves to 12-16 overall, 9-6 in WVIAC action, while Davis & Elkins falls to 16-14, 10-6. The Rams return to action on Monday when they host Fairmont State for a 7:00 p.m. contest for Senior Day. |
