ELKINS, W.Va. -- Shepherd College head coach Lu Kormeluk got his 150th career win as the Rams defeated Davis & Elkins, 32-30, 30-25, 30-13, in volleyball action at Davis and Elkins on Saturday.
Kormeluk has compiled a 150-56 (.728) mark in his six years as head coach for the Rams.
Amber Balmer (Ephrata/Ephrata, PA) led the Rams with14 kills and 18 digs, while Judy Whims (Thomas Johnson (FCC)/Frederick, MD) added 11 kills and 19 digs. Valerie Chaney (Frankfort/Fort Ashby, WV) added nine kills in 12 attempts for an impressive .750 attack percentage. Setter Gen Wilson (Elizabeth Seton/Hyattsville, MD), playing in place of the injured Nicole Morgan, recorded 44 assists.Shepherd improves to 14-6 on the year, 4-3 in WVIAC action.
