SHEPHERD GOES TO 3-0 IN CONFERENCE PLAY

ATHENS, W.Va. -- - Shepherd University won a pair of road matches in WVIAC volleyball action on Saturday. The Rams defeated Concord University 3-0 (30-21, 30-21, 30-26) and completed the day with a 3-0 (30-11, 30-11, 30-22) win over Bluefield State College.

Sophomore outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) led the Rams against Concord with team-highs of 19 kills and 14 digs. Senior middle hitter Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) recorded nine kills, three blocks, and three aces. Sophomore middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy) added nine kills.

Junior outside hitter Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood HS) recorded 11 kills and seven digs and freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area Senior HS) had nine kills and seven digs to lead the Rams in the win over Bluefield State. Senior setter Nicole Morgan (Maugansville, MD/North Hagerstown HS) added 49 assists, eight digs, and six aces.

Shepherd improves to 6-9 on the year, 3-0 in conference play. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Davis & Elkins for a 7:00 p.m. match.
