SHEPHERD DOWNS BOWIE STATE

BOWIE, Md. -- Shepherd University swept Bowie State, 30-22, 30-24, 30-24, in volleyball action at Bowie State on Thursday night.

Junior Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/ Grafton HS) led the Rams with 11 kills, seven digs, and five aces. Freshman Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/ Chancellor HS) added nine kills and 21 assists, while sophomore Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/Chambersburg Area HS) had eight kills and 20 assists for the match. Freshman outside hitter Brittany Clem (Edinburg, VA/Stonewall Jackson HS) had eight kills with a .538 attack percentage and junior outside hitter Susanna Hill (Clear Spring, MD/Grace Academy) recorded a team-high 12 digs.

Shepherd improves to 8-14 overall, while Bowie State falls to 4-11. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Glenville State for a 11:00 a.m. match.
