SHEPHERD GAINS SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va -- Shepherd University defeated Bowie State University 3-0 (30-4, 30-11, 30-21) in volleyball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Wednesday night.

Freshman outside hitter Kristy Cramer (Fayetteville, PA/ Chambersburg Area Senior HS) had six kills and nine digs to pace the Rams. Junior middle hitter Aubrey Pfau (Myerstown, MD/Middletown HS) led the team with seven kills, while sophomore outside hitter Taylor Darnley (Yorktown, VA/Grafton HS) tallied a team-high 15 digs. Senior middle hitter Holly Everhart (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS), sophomore middle hitter Lauren Durbin (Fairplay, MD/Grace Academy), and junior outside hitter Beth Schaible (Winchester, VA/James Wood HS) chipped in with five kills each.

Shepherd improves to 2-6 on the year, while Bowie State falls to 2-2. The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to the University of Charleston for a two day tournament.
