SHEPHERD VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO ALDERSON-BROADDUS SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University dropped a 3-0 (19-30, 26-30, 22-30) decision to Alderson-Broaddus in WVIAC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Tuesday night. Junior Kiira Cerasi (Santa Barbara, CA/Bishop Diego Garcia) had 11 kills and five digs to lead the Rams. Freshman Emily McCoy (Great Cacapon, WV/Berkeley Springs) added nine kills, while sophomore Kori Ford (Fredericksburg, VA/Chancellor) added seven. Freshmen Maggie Hayden (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) and Jane Thompson (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) each recorded 13 assists. Shepherd falls to 3-12, 2-2 in WVIAC play, while Alderson-Broaddus improves to 4-2, 1-2. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Fairmont State for a 7:00 p.m. match. |
