(RENSSELAER, IN) -- Travis Lynch (Frankfort/Ridgeley, WV) rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries to help lead Shepherd to a 21-0 win over St. Joseph's at Alumni Stadium on Saturday.

Junior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro/ Waynesboro, VA) completed 17-of-24 passes for 229 yards and a pair of scores. Senior wide receiver Jason Dirting (Martinsburg/ Martinsburg, WV) lead all Ram receivers with seven catches for 119 yards and touchdown. Freshman wide receiver Jamal Gardner (Robert E. Lee/Staunton, VA) added five receptions for 50 yards, including a six-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.

Dirting became the school's all-time leader in receiving with 1,850 career receiving yards, surpassing the old mark of 1,846 set by Kelvin Stevens (1993-97). Dirting also tied Stevens' career reception mark with 115.

The Shepherd defense gained his first shutout of the year.

Junior linebacker Luke Benchoff (Williamsport/Williamsport, MD) led the Ram defense with 10 tackles, while junior linebacker Chris Wheeler (B.B. Comer/Childersburg, AL) added eight stops. Senior strong safety Tyron Shelby (Eleanor Roosevelt/Greenbelt, MD) and freshman defensive end Charles Hawkins (West Potomac/Alexandria, VA) chipped with seven tackles each.

Shepherd improves to 3-0, while the Pumas drop to 0-3.

The Rams will host East Stroudsburg next Saturday at Ram Stadium in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
