PRINCETON, WV -- Senior pitcher Karen Burnette (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS) of the Shepherd University softball team was recently honored by the West Virginia Conference as the WVIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Burnette lifted Shepherd to its first home win over West Virginia Wesleyan since 1992 with a complete-game six hitter. The 4-2 loss was the Bobcats' first in league play following 13 consecutive victories.
