SHEPHERD GOES 1-4 AT CATAWBA TOURNAMENT SALISBURY, NC -- Shepherd College went 1-4 in softball action at the Catawba Tournament this weekend. The Rams fell to fourth ranked University of North Florida, 7-0, late on Saturday night. Conference rival Fairmont State gave the Rams a 3-1 loss and Georgia State and College downed the Rams, 3-0, in action on Sunday. Shepherd was seeded sixth out of 10 teams after the Fairmont State game to advance to the elimination play against Georgia State and College. Details and statistics of the three games were not available. Shepherd falls to 1-6. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Bridgewater for a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader. |
