SHEPHERD FALLS TO ALDERSON-BROADDUS AT WVIAC TOURNAMENT
VIENNA, W.Va. -- Alderson-Broaddus downed Shepherd University, 3-0, at the WVIAC Softball Tournament on Thursday.
The Battlers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two-run homer by Danielle Zeigler.
Alderson-Broaddus added a run in the third when Katie Roush doubled and scored on a single by Ashley Mooney.

Casie Waskey limited the Rams to three hits to gain the win. Senior pitcher Karen Burnette (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS). Burnette (11-10), who tossed a five-hitter and fanned five, took the loss for the Rams.
Shepherd falls to 24-26, while Alderson-Broaddus improves to 37-16.
