SHEPHERD TENNIS INKS THREE
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University head tennis coach Chris Stambaugh recently announced that three student-athletes have sign letters-of intent to play tennis for the Rams next year. Meredith Skaggs (Huntington, WV/Cabell-Midland HS) and Amanda Bickerton (Huntington, WV/Cabell-Midland HS) will join the women's team, while Andy Bosco, a Jefferson High product, will join the men's team.
Skaggs played number one for C-M while Bickerton played in the number three position. Bosco played a number one for the Cougars.
All three players qualified for the West Virginia high school state tennis tournament this past spring. Bickerton was a champion at number three singles and number two doubles. Skaggs was a state runner-up at number one doubles in 2004. Bosco won West Virginia's eastern high school regionals at number one singles and doubles.
