SHEPHERD HOLDS OFF WILMINGTON SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --Yakob Tezerawork (Rockville, MD/Wheaton HS) scored at the 60:24 mark to lift Shepherd College to a 2-1 win over Wilmington College in men's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Tuesday. Playto Sannon scored an unassisted goal at the 10:11 mark to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Ian Newman (Kingston, Jamaica) tied the game at 1-1 on feed from Nathan Tobler (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County HS) at the 17:19 mark. Tezerawork scored the game-winner on dual assists from Tobler and Ryan Prosper (Herndon, VA/Herndon HS). Ram goalkeeper Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/ Woodbridge HS) registered four saves, while Mike Hudson had a save for Wilmington. Shepherd improves its record to 7-7-2. The Rams return to action next Tuesday when they host Davis & Elkins for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
