SALEM EDGES SHEPHERD IN OT

SALEM, W.Va. -- Justin Donley's overtime goal helped Salem International University gain a 2-1 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's soccer action at Salem on Saturday afternoon.

Adam Sperry (Kearneysville, WV/Jefferson HS) gave Shepherd a 1-0 lead when he scored on an assist from Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/ Liberty HS) at the 21:00 mark.

Salem tied the game at 1-1 when Jerry Kamensek scored on a Marcus Guimarses feed at the 43:00 mark.

Donley scored the game-winner at the 92:30 mark on dual assists from Tou Vang and Guimarses.

Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/Woodbridge HS) had six saves in goal for the Rams, while Bogdan Udovicic had a pair of saves for Salem.

Shepherd falls to 5-4-2, while Salem International improves to 6-4-0.
