SHEPHERD MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO SETON HILL, 3-2

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Seton Hill handed Shepherd University a 3-2 setback in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Friday afternoon.

Shepherd opened the scoring when sophomore Guilherme Fonseca (Guaraja, Brazil/Objetivo School) scored on a feed from freshman Michael Allen (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge) at the 24:00 mark.

Garrett Fishaw tied the game at 1-1 at the 34:00 mark. Assisting on the goal was Eric McGeever, who recorded assists on all three Seton Hill goals.

The Griffins took a 2-1 lead into the break on a tally by Jordan Wedel at the 44:00 mark.

Seton Hill extended its lead to 3-1 on a Stephen Walker goal at the 65:00 mark.

Sophomore Emmanuel Elomobor (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) scored Shepherd's final goal with assists from senior Bernard Walters (Waterford, Jamaica/Camperdown) and freshman Gregory Khan (Mt. Pleasant, Tobago/Bertille St. Clair) at the 82:00 mark.

Freshman keeper Anthony Pino (Centreville, MD/Queen Annes) had five saves for the Rams, while Samuel Dukes had six saves for the Griffins.

Shepherd falls to 1-2-1, while Seton Hill improves to 2-3-0. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan for a 1 p.m. contest.
