SHEPHERD, PRESBYTERIAN BATTLE TO 1-1 TIE

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University and Presbyterian battled to a 1-1 in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday afternoon.

Presbyterian took a 1-0 at the 25:00 mark when Brandon Tucker scored on assists from Joseph Grunewald and Bryan Padgett.

Junior forward Richard Smith (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder HS) tied the game at the 49:10 mark on assists from senior forward Jamie Richie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS) and freshman midfielder Guilherme Fonseca (Guaruja, Brazil/Objetivo School)

Senior goalkeepers Pat Quinn (Germantown, MD/Good Counsel HS) (one save) and Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/ Woodbridge HS) (four saves) combined for five saves for the Rams. Mark Owens had three saves for Presbyterian.

Shepherd moves to 3-0-1, while Presbyterian is now 3-0-1. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host Lenoir-Rhyne for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
