SMITH NAMED WVIAC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Junior forward Richard Smith (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder HS) of the Shepherd University men's soccer team was named WVIAC Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for his standout play for the Rams last week. Smith scored a pair of goals as he lead Shepherd to a 2-1 win over 23rd-ranked Lenior Rhyne last Sunday. He scored the game-tying goal in a 1-1 tie against Presbyterian on Saturday and also added a goal in Shepherd's 4-1 win over Marymount on Thursday. |
