RAMS BLANK OHIO VALLEY VIENNA, W.Va. -- Senior forward Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS) recorded a hat trick to lead Shepherd University an 8-0 win over Ohio Valley University in WVIAC men's soccer action at Ohio Valley on Saturday. Freshman midfielder Nahome Mazengia (Silver Spring, MD/Montgomery Blair HS) added pair of scored goals, while junior forward Richard Smith (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder HS), junior midfielder Roberto Azevedo (Sao Brazil, Brazil/Montgomery College), and junior midfielder/forward Adam Sperry (Charles Town, WV/Jefferson HS) each added single goals for the Rams. Senior Pat Quinn (Germantown, MD/Good Counsel HS) recorded three saves in a shutout effort for the Rams. Shepherd improves to 9-1-1, 2-1-0 in conference play, while Ohio Valley drops to 3-8-0, 0-4-0. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Newberry for a 3:00 p.m. contest. |
