SHEPHERD BLANKS OVC, 6-0

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Shepherd University downed Ohio Valley College, 6-0, in WVIAC men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS), Alie Basma (Frederick, MD Thomas Johnson HS/ Frederick CC), and Leighton Meredith (Clarendon, Jamaica/Glenmuir) each had a goal and an assist to lead the Rams past the Fighting Scots. Mitchell Gore (Alexandria, VA/Edison HS) added four assists.

The Rams got one save in goal from junior keeper Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/Woodbridge HS), while Bill Bloom had nine saves for OVC.

Shepherd moves to 5-3-3 on the year, 1-2-1 in WVIAC play. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Gallaudet University for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
