RAMS KNOCK OFF NORTHERN VIRGINIA ROYALS WASHINGTON, DC --The Shepherd men's soccer team kicked off its 2004 spring season by defeating the USL Pro Soccer League Division III Northern Virginia Royals, 1-0, in Washington, DC on Saturday. The game's only goal was scored in the 43rd minute by Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS) and was assisted by Jose Ventura (Washington, DC/Archbishop Caroll HS) and Yakob Tazerawork (Rockville, MD/Wheaton HS). The Rams will return to action when they travel to Baltimore to take on UMBC (Division 1), date and time TBA. |
