RITCHIE LEADS SHEPHERD PAST NEWBERRY NEWBERRY, SC -- Senior forward Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS) scored the game's only goal to lift Shepherd University to a 1-0 win over Newberry College in men's soccer action at Newberry on Tuesday. Ritchie's goal came at the 13:48 mark on assists from freshman midfielder Guilherme Fonseca (Guaraja, Brazil/Objetivo School) and junior forward Richard Smith (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder HS). Senior netminder Pat Quinn (Germantown, MD/Good Counsel HS) recorded two saves en route to his sixth shutout of the year for the Rams. Terrance Dieterich had five saves in goal for the Indians.
