SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --The Shepherd College men's soccer team improved to 2-0 in their spring campaign with a 4-1 win over McDaniel College.
The Rams opened the scoring at the third minute on a header by Jamie Ritchie (Liberty/Remington, VA) with an assist from Pedro Prudencio (Robert E. Lee/Springfield, VA). The Rams increased their lead to 2-0 at the 13:00 mark on another goal by Ritchie assisted by Prudencio. Prudencio scored Shepherd's third goal on a feed from Dan Merold (Oakton/Oak Hill, VA). Donald Fon (Montgomery Blair/Silver Spring, MD) closed out the scoring with a goal at the 68:00 mark on an assist from Chad Guthrie (Centreville/Centreville, VA).
McDaniel's only goal came at the 83:00 mark. Shepherd will return to action on April 27 when they host the alumni game.McDaniel 0 1 1
