KUTZTOWN DOWNS SHEPHERD KUTZTOWN, PA -- John Lapore scored a goal and assisted on another to lift Kutztown University to a 2-0 win over Shepherd College at Kutztown on Tuesday. Lapore scored at the 23:00 mark on a feed from Shawen Rennie to give the Golden Bears a 1-0 advantage at the half. Jack Pocorobba scored on a feed from Lapore at the 78:00 mark for the game's final tally. Jason Sherman had five saves in goal for Kutztown, while sophomore Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA)/Woodbridge HS) recorded eight saves for the Rams. Shepherd falls to 4-3-2, while Kutztown improves to 3-5-3. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host Shippensburg for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
