SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Freshman forward Michael Watson (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) scored on a penalty kick in the second half to lift Shepherd College to a 1-0 victory over Kutztown University in men's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Watson's game-winner came with 21:44 reamaining in the second half.
Sophomore Pat Quinn (Germantown, MD)/Good Counsel) recorded five saves in goal for the Rams and earned his third shutout of the year. Jon Beaumont registered six saves for the Golden Bears.
Shepherd improves to 8-2, while Kutztown falls to 7-3-2.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host UDC at 2:00 p.m.
