SHEPHERD FALLS TO JAMES MADISON HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The Shepherd University men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to James Madison University on Sunday at James Madison. The Rams were tied 1-1 at the half with Richard Smith scoring the team's only goal with an assist from Guilherme Fonseca. "We played much better in the first half and did well to stay with what I consider a top 25 NCAA Division 1 program," said head coach Joseph Okoh. "We play these games to gain experience and we came away with good sense of what we need to work on for the future." The Rams return to action this Saturday when they travel to Washington, D.C. to take on Howard University (Division 1) at 4 p.m. |
