 RITCHIE LEADS RAMS TO OVERTIME WIN SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS) scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in overtime to lift Shepherd College to a 3-2 win over Davis & Elkins in men's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Tuesday. After a scoreless first half, Shepherd took a 1-0 lead at the 49:02 mark when Nathan Tobler (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County HS) scored on an assist from Ritchie. The Senators tied the game at 1-1 when Kris Harford scored on an unassisted goal at the 58:11 mark. Davis & Elkins took a 2-1 lead when Ben McArthur added an unassisted tally at the 68:41 mark. Ritchie tied the game at 2-2 when he scored on a header off a crossing pass from Ryan Prosper (Herndon, VA/Herndon HS) at the 75:31 mark. Ritchie added the game-winner on a header off dual assists from Prosper and Donald Fon (Silver Spring, MD/Montgomery Blair HS) at the 97:00 mark. Ram goalkeeper Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/ Woodbridge HS) registered three saves, while Ben Royce had a two saves for the Senators. Shepherd improves its record to 8-7-2, 1-3-1 in conference play, while Davis & Elkins falls to 0-9-0, 0-3-0.. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Charleston for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
