SHEPHERD EDGES ALUMNI IN SPRING SOCCER ACTION SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University men's soccer team defeated the Shepherd Alumni, 2-1, in its only home game of the spring season. The Rams opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Donald Fon (Silver Spring, MD/Montgomery Blair HS) scored with a beautiful header off a cross from Nathan Tobler (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County HS). Fon scored his second goal of the day in the 45th minute on a feed from Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/Liberty HS). The Alumni scored their lone goal in the 80th minute when Kaveh Sadat scored off an assist from Andrew Ritchie (Class of 2000). The Rams return to action on Wednesday, April 21 when they travel to Baltimore to take on UMBC (Division 1). The start time has yet to be announced. |
